That’s a terrible one. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and you never know how bad an injury might be. What might seem like an injury that will only keep someone out of action for a short time can turn into months and even then it might be even longer. That seems to be the case again, as the latest update on an injured former star is even worse than expected.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Could Be Worse: Update On Kevin Owens’ Injury Status
Back in September, Thunder Rosa was stripped of the AEW Women’s World Title due to a back injury. According to Fightful Select, Rosa is still not medically cleared to wrestle and there is a concern that she could need surgery. There is no word on when she could return to the ring. Rosa has not wrestled since August 10, 2022 but has since begun working as part of the AEW Spanish announce team.
Rosa is a star worth waiting for. Check out what she can do in the ring:
Opinion: At this point, I’m not sure how much of a surprise this really is. Rosa has not wrestled in over eight months and there has been nothing to suggest that she is ready to return to the ring. I don’t know what is going on with her, but a back injury is the kind of thing that can take quite a while to heal up. Surgery would make the wait even longer, but that might be the only option.
What do you think of Rosa? Who should she face when she returns to the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
