It’s still a long way off. There are certain injuries in wrestling that are a lot worse than others. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Update On Bray Wyatt’s WWE Status (And It’s Not Good)
Robert Roode, 45 years old, has not wrestled since June 2022 due to a neck injury, which resulted in fusion surgery. According to Fightful Select, Roode has been out of action for nearly a year already but did not get his surgery until recently, meaning that he is not expected to return to the ring for a long time. There is no word on when such a return might take place.
Roode is a quality star when he is around. Check out some of his time in WWE:
Opinion: That is terrible to hear as you never want to see a wrestler left on the shelf for any amount of time, especially coming up on a year with more time to come. Roode is one of the most consistent stars WWE can offer but at his age, it is hard to imagine him having a ton of time left in the ring. Hopefully he is able to get back sooner than later, though his health is what matters more than anything else.
What do you think of Roode’s time in WWE? How can he be best used? Let us know in the comments below.
