Someone has to win them. WWE has had an interesting year. While the creative decisions and moves have not been the most popular in the world, they have made some moves in the right direction. Some of their more positive ideas include the rise of NXT to equal footing with the main roster, the Fiend coming into his own and SmackDown moving over the FOX. But what was the best of the best?

On this week’s edition of WWE Backstage, WWE announced their Best Of 2019 Awards, honoring the greatest things to happen in the company this year. These awards only include the main roster stars with NXT not being included. It also only covers the in-ring product, meaning there are no stories or shows, though next week’s edition will announce the Top Five Matches of the Year.

Here are the winners for each award and a look at each in action:

Male Superstar Of The Year: Bray Wyatt

Female Superstar Of The Year: Becky Lynch

Male Tag Team Of The Year: New Day

Female Tag Team Of The Year: Kabuki Warriors

Breakout Stars Of The Year: Street Profits

The Street Profits score a win over The O.C. thanks to Kevin Owens: Raw, Oct. 21, 2019

Moment Of The Year: Kofi Kingston Wins The WWE Championship

Opinion: This is a list where you can’t really argue with a lot of them, save for maybe the Breakout Stars. A lot of the wrestlers in these categories dominated their divisions and it makes sense to give them the top spot for these awards. These things can be very subjective though and that means a lot of people are going to disagree. It makes for some fun discussions if nothing else, which is pretty much the entire point.
