They Earned It: WWE Higher Ups Reportedly "Very Happy" With This Recent Match

They were pleased. There are a lot of wrestling matches in any given week and it can take something special to really stand out. Those are the matches that get people’s attention in one way or another, but having the right people notice them is a very tricky thing to do. It seems to have been done this week though, as some important people were pleased with what they were seeing.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley successfully defended her title against Natalya. According to Fightful Select, WWE higher ups were reportedly “very happy” with the match, with one telling other backstage people that it should be the first thing they should watch when they returned from Money In The Bank. Ripley and Natalya were both said to be pleased with the match despite being banged up.

Opinion: I can’t say I disagree, as the match was heck of a fight between two powerhouses. It made for a heck of a showdown, especially on free television and was one of the best matches from either in a long time. Sometimes you need a good fight and that is exactly what you got here, with two women beating the fire out of each other until one of them was left standing.
