He Earned It: AEW Star Receives Backstage Praise After Revolution, “Couldn’t Believe How Good He Was”

He earned it. There are all kinds of talented stars on the AEW roster and it can be difficult for someone to stand out. It takes something special for someone to really make a big difference over the rest. A special match can go a long way towards making someone a star and that was the situation over the weekend, with a major match making quite the impact on a star’s reputation.

Over the weekend at AEW Revolution, Will Ospreay defeated Konosuke Takeshita in Ospreay’s first match as an official member of the AEW roster. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Daily Update, there were several people backstage who had never seen Ospreay wrestle and reportedly “couldn’t believe how good he was”. Ospreay is set to face Kyle Fletcher this week on Dynamite.

Ospreay is quite the star. Check out what he has done in AEW:

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by Ospreay getting this much interest, as he really is quite the amazing performer. He can do some things that almost no one else can in the ring and his match with Takeshita was a blast. It would not surprise me to see Ospreay become a top star in AEW in the blink of an eye and it seems that he is already getting there after just one match.
