That’s an issue. To say AEW has come a long way in a short amount of time would be an understatement. Six years ago, the company did not exist and now they are the second biggest promotion in the United States and one of the biggest in the world. That is not something that comes easily, but now it seems that some of the people backstage are worried about a few things.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while the wrestlers in the AEW locker room get along and tend to like company president Tony Khan, there are said to be “concerns” about attendance and the company’s popularity. These concerns were not said to have been there in the past. It is not clear how long they have been around or if the company has done anything to address the locker room’s concerns. AEW is set for All In, its biggest show of the year, on August 25 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Opinion: It makes sense that the wrestlers are going to be worried about something like this, as AEW’s television audiences and attendances have been issues for a good while now. At some point, there are few ways to avoid the fact that a lot of the buildings they are running are mostly empty. The TV audiences aren’t doing much better and that is going to need to change, especially with the new broadcasting deal looming.
