Another run? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works, as it offers another place for wrestlers to go. While there are some wrestlers who might not have fit in with WWE, there is now an alternative platform which could work out just as well. On occasion, AEW is not the right place either though and someone might go back to WWE. That is what WWE wants someone to do soon.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Malakai Black’s AEW contract is set to expire “soon” and WWE is interested in signing him back. The deal is expected to expire at some point in early 2025 though it is not exactly clear when. Triple H had attempted to sign Black back to WWE when he took over WWE Creative but was unable to do so. Black’s wife Zelina Vega currently wrestles for WWE. There is no word on if Black is interested in jumping back to WWE when he is allowed to do so.

Opinion: I’m curious to see where this goes as Black very well could jump back to WWE. That might not seem like the biggest deal, but the idea of wrestlers who have gone from WWE to AEW and then heading back again is a new way to go. Black very well could be one of many to do so, but just the speculation that it could happen is more than enough to make it interesting.
What do you think of the idea? Where would Black fit in best? Let us know in the comments below.
