That’s a long, long time. The biggest story in WWE in recent months, if not years, has been Roman Reigns. After being described as the next big thing for such a long time, everything came together in 2020 and Reigns has been the Universal Champion for over 1,000 days. This is something that WWE hypes up every chance they can get, but now Reigns has lost an even longer streak.

The main event of Money In The Bank 2023 saw the Usos defeat Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in the Bloodline Civil War. Jey Uso pinned Reigns to win the match after a Superfly Splash. This marked the first time that Reigns has been pinned in WWE since King Corbin defeated him at Tables, Ladders And Chairs 2019 on December 15, 2019, meaning Reigns’ streak of not being pinned or made to submit ended at 1,294 days.

Opinion: My goodness that is a long time and it really did feel like an event when Jey got the pin. Reigns is a force the likes of which we have not see in WWE in a very long time now and it is rather fascinating to see what is going on as things seem to be falling apart. The aura of invincibility is going away and the idea of Reigns actually losing the title seems closer almost as close as it ever has before.
