Back in. Wrestlers retire all of the time but that does not mean they will never be seen again. Just because someone stops being an active wrestler does not mean there is nothing for them to do, as they will often be brought back in a special role. That is what we are going to be seeing with one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling, but it will be as part of a different sport.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Double It: New Stipulation Added To AEW All In Title Match

In a post on his Instagram account, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has announced that he will serve as a guest referee for a special celebrity boxing match between Joe Giudice of the Real Housewives Of New Jersey and actor Anthony Sabato Jr. There is no word on I this will be a one off appearance or part of a new gig for Angle. He last wrestled in 2019, though has made occasional appearances in wrestling since.

They can be hit and miss. Check out some guest referees from years past:

Opinion: Sure why not. I’m not sure if Angle has any connection to the two of them, but tying in a rather celebrated athlete to the fight should draw up a bit of interest. It isn’t like this is some major event in the first place with A-List names involved so bringing Angle in should only help. At the very least, it keeps his name out there in some way, which should only help him.

What do you think of the idea? Who is the best guest referee? Let us know in the comments below.
