That would have been different. WWE stars can do all kinds of things during their careers and it can be fascinating to see what happens to them at various points. On occasion it can seem like everything is falling apart, only to have them come back later on in a different way. Now we know some different plans for a former WWE star who went in a very surprising direction.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Oh No: Popular AEW Star Reveals Torn Pectoral Muscle

Last December, Mandy Rose lost the NXT Women’s Title to Roxanne Perez and was released the next day over explicit content she posted online. Rose returned to NXT in June 2021 following a three year main roster run. Former WWE writer Dave Schilling live tweeted WrestleMania 35 this week, revealing that Rose was planned to win the SmackDown Women’s Title at the show. The match would have seen Asuka defending the title against Rose and her partner Sonya Deville, with Rose winning. Instead, all three were in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal while Becky Lynch won the title in the show’s main event.

Rose was a star in WWE. Check out her time in the company:

Opinion: I could see this being the case as Rose was treated like a star more than once in WWE. Asuka lost the SmackDown Women’s Title only about two weeks before WrestleMania 35 so the timing makes sense as well. WWE seems to have changed plans fairly late in the game, but what matters is that they got the result right in the end. Rose certainly found herself in NXT and could be a star again if she chooses to wrestle again.

What did you think of Rose’s time in WWE? How woul dher title reign hav gone? Let us know in the comments below.
