That’s a relief. Injuries are terrible things in wrestling, but they can be used as a plot device to advance storylines. A wrestler being put on the shelf can change all kinds of things, it can open up a variety of doors. At the same time, there can be a storyline injury where nothing is wrong but the story can be advanced anyway. That seems to be the case again with an AEW champion.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Discussing Major Usos Match For Money In The Bank

This week’s Dynamite was scheduled to include a six woman tag between Britt Baker/Hikaru Shida/Jamie Hayter vs. the Outcasts. However, Hayter was announced as being out of action with an injury, heaving Baker and Shida to lose a regular tag team match to Ruby Soho and Toni Storm. Following the match, Hayter vs. Storm for Hayter’s AEW Women’s Title was announced for Double Or Nothing on May 28. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the injury is a storyline and Hayter is fine.

Hayter has been a star in AEW. Check out what she has done in the company:

Opinion: That is great to hear and thankfully Hayter can be back in action whenever AEW is ready to have her back. At the same time, it would be nice to not have Hayter missing so often, as she is only back recently after a hiatus. What matters is that she is ready for her next major title match and now we should be in for a heck of a showdown now that everyone is ready.
