What could have been. There is very little bigger for a wrestler than to get to appear at WrestleMania. It is the pinnacle of wrestling for many stars and getting to appear on the show in any way can be quite the milestone. It can also be quite the negative when someone does not make the show for one reason or another. Now we know of some plans that were made and then scrapped.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Nope: Former World Champion Not Likely Signing With WWE
According to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, a segment between Bobby Lashley and LA Knight was planned and then scrapped from the broadcast. While Lashley did appear with his Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy on Night Two, Knight never made an appearance. There is no word on what the segment would have been or why it was scrapped from the show.
A noticeable on-screen absence from this weekend’s #WrestleMania was LA Knight, even after saying, “WrestleMania will get that LA Knight moment!”
We’re told Knight was scheduled to have a segment with Lashley on night two. We are unsure, as of now, why the change was made. pic.twitter.com/duku4I6q9q

This had potential. Check out what the two could have offered:
Opinion: This is something that would have made a lot of sense but for some reason WWE did not go in the direction. Maybe it was a time situation or some other kind of issue but it’s a shame that it didn’t happen. Lashley is one of the bigger stars in WWE and Knight has been on fire as of late. It doesn’t make a ton of sense for WWE to not go with it, but maybe they have something planned for the future.
What do you think of the idea? How should WWE use the two of them? Let us know in the comments below.
