Them? There have been all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster over the years and at some point, all of them go away for one reason or another. You will see wrestlers released from their contracts with the team on occasion and some of them can be rather surprising. That was the case earlier this month and it seems that a few of them were bigger surprises than others.

Earlier this month, WWE released a variety of wrestlers from the company. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the two releases which caused the biggest surprises were Sonya Deville and Karl Anderson. The latter was seen as a bigger surprise as Anderson is currently injured and WWE traditionally does not release wrestlers while they are recovering from injuries.

They were talented stars. Check out the two of them in action:

Opinion: It makes sense that Anderson would be a surprise for just that reason, though it continues to show you just how much things have changed in WWE in recent years. Those changes may not all be positive though and I’m not sure how fair it is to have a wrestler be released while they are injured. Deville leaving is surprising as well and now we get to see what is next for the two of them.
