It’s about time. In an announcement that sometimes seems like it was forever ago, WWE announced that NXT UK would become its own brand in the near future. While the announcement has been made and television has been taped, the show has yet to actually air anywhere. WWE has been promoting several shows at once lately, and now they might be ready to add another to the list.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the NXT UK show will be airing on the WWE Network with the episodes possibly beginning as soon as the Mae Young Classic ends in late October. There is also the chance that Jim Smallman and the Progress Wrestling roster could have a hand in the upcoming shows. The early episodes of television have already been taped.

So this actually means something now.

The high-octane excitement of NXT UK is coming soon

Opinion: I know the show is going to be a big deal but I’m having some issues getting fired up about the concept. The wrestling is going to be entertaining and the show isn’t going to be taking up the American NXT time or resources, but starting something up this new and fresh is always going to take some time to get going. Hopefully the show is as good as its American counterpart, though it has a lot of work to do.
