It happens. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and you never know when you are going to see someone get hurt. Occasionally someone’s injury will result in them being taken off television but it can make for an interesting return when they get to come back. That is what we are seeing again in WWE and now we know a bit more about something that seemed a bit out of nowhere.

Over the weekend at the Royal Rumble, the Street Profits made a surprise return and attacked the Motor City Machine Guns, costing them their WWE Tag Team Title shot against DIY. This involved Angelo Dawkins using a crutch as a weapon. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this was due to Dawkins recently undergoing minor knee surgery. There is no word on when Dawkins will be able to return to the ring.

Opinion: This makes sense and I’m curious to see what is next for the team. The Profits have been around the Tag Team Title scene for a few months now and it would be nice to see them as champions again. They are more than good enough to earn this kind of spot and I could go for seeing what they are doing again, as they are jumping back in as part of a nice moment.
