Nostalgia is in right now. There will always be a pining for the good old days in any form of media. Fans of books, movies, television shows and anything else are going to want to have things back like they were before and that can open up a lot of new opportunities. This includes revival series, which have become quite popular in recent years. Now another one is coming and wrestling is involved.

There will always be a place for wrestling in television because wrestling is such a simple concept. You will see wrestling popping up every now and then in television and that has been the case for a very long time. There was even a wrestling sitcom in the late 1980s with Learning The Ropes. Now a sitcom from the 80s is being revived and there are wrestlers involved again.

In a new video on Cameo, D-Von Dudley has announced that he is working on the revival series of the 1980s sitcom Punky Brewster. Dudley said that he is currently out in Hollywood producing and choreographing the show, which will also involve Charlotte and Alexa Bliss. It is not clear if Dudley will be working on every episode of the show or if this is for a specific scene or episode.

That came out of left field. Check out the announcement and some of Dudley’s better work:

Opinion: Did anyone have this one coming this week? Dudley is not exactly known for his Hollywood connections but it is cool to see a wrestler getting involved with something like this. If nothing else, it is the kind of thing that can make WWE look a little bit better and it’s always nice to see wrestling involved with a sitcom. Now just make the whole thing work and call it a success.
