It’s ok. WWE has changed quite a bit in the last few years, with multiple longstanding rules and traditions being adjusted, if not flat out removed. That is going to be even more true under the company’s new owners, as Endeavor has fewer traditions to abide by. It seems that we saw one of those changes last week, as a longstanding policy seems to have been changed in certain circumstances.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is now allowing blading again, albeit only in “key matches and angles. WWE allowed CM Punk to blade during his match against Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood, during which McIntyre was busted open hardway. Vince McMahon had a policy against blading and it had been a very rare occurrence in WWE for many yeas.

Opinion: This is how wrestling has gone for a very long time and it makes perfect sense to do it again. Having blood in every match and feud would be overkill, but doing it on an infrequent basis and in a controlled environment could do quite well. Having Blood added in can enhance a story, which was absolutely the case with the Punk vs. McIntyre match last weekend.
