Captain Nox? An injury is one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler. It doesn’t matter how talented or skilled a wrestler may be, because they can always be hurt in one way or another. Some of them are a lot worse than others and one of the worst situations is a wrestling having the same injury over and over. That is the case with an NXT star, but she has a rather unique training partner in her rehab.
Tegan Nox is one of the brightest prospects that NXT’s women’s division has had in a long time. She is 26 years old, has eight years of in-ring experience and was a star in Europe before being brought in to NXT. However, she also has a horrible history of knee injuries and is currently recovering from her third torn ACL. Nox is going to need some help recovering, so she has a superhero on her side.
That’s a crossover. Check out Nox and a Marvel superhero training together:
Actress Brie Larson, best known as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has posted a video on YouTube of her training with Nox during the latter’s rehab. The workout was put together by WWE strength coach Sean Hayes and features the two of them working out at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The two women speak throughout the video, talking about their exercise routines and comparing the process for training in acting and wrestling.
Opinion: This is a pretty cool thing for WWE to be able to do and I’m sure it is going to get some extra attention for the company. If nothing else, having a mainstream actress who was in the biggest film of all time just a few years ago is quite the catch. Hopefully Nox is able to get back in the ring at some point because she is an incredibly talented wrestler. That being said, I’m not sure I can imagine Nox surviving another horrible knee injury, so this might be the last hurrah.
