It’s not surprising. While wrestling does have pre-determined outcomes, there is no denying that it is a physical spot. As a result, there are going to be people getting hurt, at least to an extent, on a fairly regular basis. The more violent a match gets, the worse the damage can become. That was on display this week, and an AEW star is currently dealing with the consequences.

The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley defeat Kenny Omega in a steel cage match. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Omega is said to be “a little banged up” after the match, but mostly ok all things considered. There is no word on what kind of damage Omega received, though there is nothing to suggest that he will be missing any ring time.

Omega has a very physical style. Check out what he can do in the ring:

Opinion: That can’t be the biggest surprise, as Omega has wrestled a hard style for a long time, including in the cage match. There are only so many miles that one can put on their body and Omega has already had to take a lot of time off to get healed up from a lot of injuries. It’s great to have him around, but he doesn’t have to go so hard and burn through the time that he has left in the ring.

What do you think of Omega’s time in AEW? What is next for him? Let us know in the comments below.
