It was close. You never know when things are going to change in wrestling and that was certainly the case this year. The Coronavirus pandemic changed the way that WWE was able to operate and that was going to cause a big shakeup for a lot of the wrestlers on the roster. Some of them were ready to get a big push but things had to be changed, including one certain Monday Night Raw name.
NXT has been a great source of talent to the main roster, but sometimes you see someone get called up and wonder what WWE is thinking. That can wind up being a smart thing to say at times, but there are also times where WWE has a surprise push in store for someone. That seems to be the case again at the moment, but there still seems to be time for them to get their chance.
According to Fightful Select, Riddick Moss was in for a push on Monday Night Raw before the Coronavirus pandemic changed the situation. Before the pandemic, Moss was seen as a Paul Heyman project and Heyman put him on the sidelines when the pandemic started to avoid any heat on Moss at the time. Moss was forced to be taken off of television due to his brother having cystic fibrosis, putting him at a higher risk for the Coronavirus. Moss has since returned to WWE television, appearing on Raw Underground.
Moss has done some good stuff so far. Check out a few of his highlights:
Opinion: Moss is a confusing case as he has a good look and potential, but there isn’t much to him on WWE TV. WWE has not wasted him or hurt him in any way, but at the same time they have not really done much with him. Winning the 24/7 Title doesn’t mean much these days, and it isn’t like he has done anything since he cane back from his hiatus. Maybe he can go somewhere in the future, but that has not started just yet.
What do you think of Moss? How far can he go in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
