It’s their new home. While WWE gets the most attention in the wrestling world, there are other promotions throughout the world, some of which have their own national exposure. It makes sense for those promotions to bring in former WWE stars when they have the chance and that seems to be what has happened again. This time though, a promotion brought in two at once.

AEW taped episodes of Dark this weekend at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. During the tapings, two former NXT stars made their debuts for the company. First up, Cole Karter, formerly known as Troy “Two Stacks” Donovan defeated Mike Orlando. This is Karter’s return to the company, as he wrestled eight matches before being signed to NXT. In addition, Parker Boudreaux also debuted, appearing with Ariya Daivari and Slim J, though he does not seem to have wrestled a match. It is not clear when these shows will air.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens fairly often with former NXT stars and that is not a bad thing. Those wrestlers were signed to NXT for a reason and it makes all the sense in the world for another promotion to want to bring them in. That is a good idea and something that AEW is smart to do, as you never know what kind of hidden gem you could find in there.

What do you think of the appearances? How will they do in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
