He’s working on it. Becoming a professional wrestler is one of the hardest fields to break into anywhere. It can take years of training to be ready to compete at even a part time level but having the right start can make all of the difference. If someone gets off on the right foot, everything can be made better, and that seems to be the case again with a heck of a prospect.

Back in 2021, Olympic gold medal winning wrestler Gable Steveson signed with WWE. However, despite making a few appearances for the company, Steveson has yet to wrestle an actual match for the promotion. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Steveson has been “picking things up” in training and there is a belief that he is going to be better than expected. There is still no word on when Steveson will make his WWE debut, as he has mentioned a desire to return to amateur wrestling.

Opinion: This could be a big deal as Gable is the kind of prospect that you do not see come along in wrestling almost ever. To have this kind of background in amateur wrestling and any kind of professional ability is incredibly rare and it could be awesome to see Steveson become a star. WWE would certainly seem to agree, though they have a long way to go before reaching that point.
