Come On Over? Paul Heyman Wants UFC Champion To Acknowledge Roman Reigns

Crossover? Athletes from various sports have crossed over into professional wrestling over the years with different sports having varying levels of success. In recent years, mixed martial arts has become one of the most regular producers of wrestlers, as the two sports do have some similarities. Now a wrestling personality has a message for a a top mixed martial arts star.

UFC Middleweight Champions Israel Adesanya was a guest on a recent edition of the MMA Hour. Helwani advertised the interview on social media, which prompted Paul Heyman to tell Helwani to have Adesanya “ACKNOWLEDGE THE TRIBAL CHIEF”. Adesanya has mentioned an interest in appearing in WWE at some point, though there is nothing to suggest that any crossover is being planned.

Opinion: While I don’t think this is going to be the kind of thing that results in an appearance from Adesanya, there is something to be said about having Heyman mention Reigns in relation to him. It can be interesting to see another sport’s stars coming in for an appearance and Adesanya does seem intrigued by the idea. Maybe this is Heyman just having fun, and he seems to have done just that.
