Down under? WWE has changed the way it presents international events in recent months, with several shows taking place outside of the United States. This has led to a variety of locations getting to host major WWE shows after years of not getting such a thing, if they ever had one in the first place. Now we might have an idea of where another such event might be heading.

According to The West Australian, WWE is in discussions to bring another event to Perth, Australia at some point in 2025. There is no word on how far along the discussions have gone, with Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti saying that “we’re constantly pursuing these types of unique and exclusive events”. WWE held its Elimination Chamber event in Perth in 2024. It is not clear if the event in 2025 would be a Premium Live Event.

Opinion: This makes sense, as WWE going international has worked rather well for it so far. At the same time, at some point it is going to become a case of diminishing returns. I don’t think it’s going to be the case if WWE goes back to Australia in 2025, but waiting a bit longer might not be a bad idea. WWE knows how to keep things moving around the world, but they also have to keep the timing right.
