It’s over. We are in the middle of quite the transitional period in WWE, as all kinds of things are moving in one direction after another. This includes the main television shows, all three of which are going to new homes within the next year. The details are what matter the most in a situation like this and now we know a very important detail about one of the show’s new homes.

The USA Network has issued a press release, by way of 411mania.com, announcing that SmackDown will return to its airwaves on Friday September 13 when the show’s current run on FOX comes to an end. The move will be celebrated with WWE Week, featuring all of Dwayne Johnson’s Fast And The Furious films, John Cena’s Blockers film and the Bray Wyatt: Being Immortal documentary. Monday Night Raw will also be returning to USA for the final four months of the year before moving to Netflix in January.

Opinion: The announcement that SmackDown was moving over to the USA Network was made months ago but now knowing the date that the change is taking place makes things all the more interesting. It should be fun to see what happens when the show moves over, as SmackDown has been on USA before so it isn’t going to be any kind of big change of pace for everyone.
