Come On In? Update On Free Agent Status Of Two Former World Champions

On the market? There are all kinds of talented wrestlers throughout the world and not all of them work for WWE and AEW. Those promotions are always looking for some fresh talent though and it can be a big deal when established names make their way there. While not yet confirmed, it is believed that two former World Champions and one of the most successful tag teams of this era may be on their way to a big promotion.

Last month, it was reported that the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) had finished up with TNA Wrestling and were set to become free agents. According to PWInsider.com, the team have officially finishes with TNA and are eligible to sign anywhere they like. While their last taped match in TNA is set to air on April 18, there is hope that the team can come back and work more dates for TNA in the future. At the same time, there are some in TNA who believe that the team will sign with AEW soon.

Opinion: This has seemed to be the next logical move for a little while and it makes sense for the Guns to head over to AEW. They are more than good enough to hang with the best teams in AEW and I’m sure the promotion would love to have them. The Guns are one of the best teams in this generation and it would be great for them to get a chance on one of the biggest stages in all of wrestling today.
