Come On In? Former AEW Star Reportedly Backstage At WWE SmackDown, Elsewhere

From the other side? There are all kinds of wrestlers throughout the world today and a good many of them do not work for one of the major promotions. It can be a big deal when someone who does work for one of them jumps from one to the other, especially if there is a gap in between their stays. That might be the case again, as a former AEW star has been seen in some new places.

According to Fightful Select, former AEW star Jose The Assistant was backstage at last week’s WWE SmackDown in Orlando, Florida. Jose was at the show with his friend Andrade and happens to live nearby. It was also reported that Jose was backstage at a recent TNA Impact taping. There is nothing to suggest that he has signed a deal with either promotion. Jose left AEW when he was released on April 1.

Opinion: This is where things can be interesting, as there is always the chance that a familiar name could show up in a new place. Jose is a good hype man and could be a good boost for almost any promotion, assuming he wants to show up anywhere else. For now though, it is a good thing to see, as if nothing else, it is nice to have another place for these wrestlers to go.
