He’ll be around. There are all kinds of stars on the WWE roster, meaning at some point the company is going to bring some of those names up to the next level. According to PWInsider.com, NXT’s Gable Steveson will be wrestling on “pretty much every” SmackDown going forward in dark matches, as WWE attempts to get him extra in-ring experience. Steveson has been signed to WWE since September 2021 and has only had one televised match, though he has wrestled multiple times on live events. It is not clear when he will wrestle on television again.
Steveson has done a few things in WWE. Check out some o his time with the company:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has to happen at some point as WWE has had Steveson under contract for almost two and a half years but have seen him in the ring once in front of a camera. That isn’t going to be enough long term and while his first match wasn’t great, it wasn’t the biggest disaster. At some point Steveson has to get some more experience and this is a good way to do it, but if it doesn’t get somewhere, I’m not sure what it is going to accomplish.
What do you think of Steveson? How should WWE use him? Let us know in the comments below.
