That’s one way to go. There are very few wrestlers who have reached the level of CM Punk. The now legendary Pipe Bomb promo launched him to an entirely different world and he never looked back, becoming one of the most popular wrestling stars in the company as well as the world. Punk has not wrestled a match in six years, but that does not mean he has not been thinking about it.

Ever since Punk left the ring, fans have been clamoring to see him get back in. There have been dozens of matches suggested, but at the same time it is the kind of thing that is not just going to happen overnight. As a result, it keeps fans wondering if it is ever going to happen. Every now and then they will get a little tease though, and that has been done all over again.

Punk was a guest on a recent edition of Swing and Mrs. where he talked about the wrestlers he would be willing to face should he return. While making it clear that the business side of things would have to be right, Punk said that he would listen to an idea about matches with Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Will Ospreay. There is no suggestion that Punk is considering wrestling again at the moment.

Punk has fought three of these people before. Check out him facing those people:

Opinion: As Punk says in the interview, this is the kind of question that he gets a lot and it’s understandable. Punk has been back in the wrestling eye over the last few months thanks to his appearances on Backstage and it is no surprise that he is being asked these things all over again. Any of those four matches could be interesting, but I think we are a long way away from it happening, assuming it ever does.
