Drew McIntyre has not been seen since WrestleMania 39 as he has been out of action due to being banged up, while also dealing with a contract issue. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McIntyre is working with “a good chance” that he will be leaving WWE when his contract expires. McIntyre is not expected to be back for another few weeks and there have been no changes to his contract status. He was officially drafted to Monday Night Raw in the 2023 WWE Draft.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with McIntyre or what he is going to do when his deal comes a lot closer, but WWE would be crazy to not try to keep him around. Even if McIntyre is not the top star in the company any longer, he is still someone who can do a lot of things and fill in a variety of spots. That is not something you see very often and it would be great to see him stick around WWE. Otherwise, someone is going to get a potential top star and that is a huge deal.
