And out. Retirement can be a very sad moment for any wrestler as they have to officially hang up their boots and end their in-ring careers. That can be a big shakeup for anyone and quite a hit to a wrestling promotion as well. We saw one of them take place earlier this month and now the recently retired star has something to say about his time in the ring coming to an end.

Last weekend on AEW Collision, Hangman Page defeated Christopher Daniels in a Texas Deathmatch, which was believed to be Daniels’ retirement match. This week on AEW Dynamite, Daniels confirmed that his in-ring career was over. Daniels has since issued a statement on Twitter, saying that he is said it’s over but happy that it happened. He also thanked everyone at the end. Daniels continues to work for AEW as head of Talent Relations.

He did well. Check out Daniels in AEW:
Opinion: This is something that happens to every wrestler at some point and it is nice to see Daniels getting to hang up his boots on his own terms after a heck of a match. Daniels will likely still be around in one way or another in AEW but it just won’t be in the ring. If nothing else, it is nice to see AEW using his retirement as a way to boost Page’s push, which is not something you see all the time.
