I’d say he’s earned it. There are certain wrestlers who are going to get more attention than others and oftentimes that is because they have earned it. You know a star when you see it and that is the kind of thing that can make for a very special moment. Sometimes you are going to see someone become a major star and one of the biggest stars ever is going to be recognized in the next few weeks.

AEW was officially announced just over a year and a half ago and they started with a bang by announcing that Chris Jericho would be part of the roster. That is the kind of move that put AEW on the map in a hurry and it certainly did in AEW’s case. Jericho has remained one of the biggest stars that AEW has to offer and now he is going to get a special moment that is all about him.

During this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, a special segment was announced for the October 7 edition of the show where Jericho will be celebrating his thirty year anniversary in wrestling. It is not clear what the segment will entail or who else will be involved. Jericho made his professional wrestling debut on October 2, 1990 in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada and has wrestled regularly ever since.

Jericho is the most important part of the AEW roster. Check out his work for the company:

Opinion: I don’t know what else there is to say about Jericho, as he has been a major star in wrestling for most of his career and there is no indication that he is going to be stopping anytime soon. He deserves this kind of a celebration and while it is likely to turn into a big angle, there is nothing wrong with acknowledging someone who has been so impressive for such a long time.
