Oh…..dang. I’m really not sure how to start this one because Chris Benoit is one of the touchiest subjects in wrestling history (for obvious reasons). That makes the following story even worse as it really comes off like little more than an accident by someone who didn’t do the proper research.

According to Prowrestlingsheet.com, Walkers Crisps, a UK snack company, asked fans to tweet pictures to them for a chance to win tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final. Fans then sent in pictures of various murderers and criminals, including Benoit. For some reason, Benoit’s image made two different campaign ads, which have since been pulled.

Opinion: You kind of had to expect something like this to happen when you put it out on Twitter and ask fans for their input. The problem is when you see various famous criminals, you would think they would be left off the ad campaign. This comes off as something not thought through, which makes it more embarrassing than anything else.
