That’s another level of snake bit. Injuries are the kind of thing that you can never predict in wrestling and that is the kind of thing that makes them all the more devastating. You never know when someone is going to be knocked out of action for any length of time and then there is little more to do than wait. That seems to be the case again and now it is some amazing bad luck.
Chelsea Green made her full time main roster debut this week on SmackDown, participating in a fatal four way qualifying match for the Survivor Series women’s team. Green had appeared in NXT before and had been called up to the main roster but had yet to actually show up on television. Now she has done so, and somehow lightning has struck twice in a way that is almost impossible to believe.
WWE has announced that Green suffered a broken wrist during the four way match. It is not clear how long she will be out of action. This is the second time that Green has broken the same wrist, with the previous injury taking place in her debut match on NXT television back in March 2019. There is no word on how the original SmackDown plans may have changed due to the injury.
It was a nasty way to go out. Check out the match plus a healthy Green:
Opinion: What do you even say to this? That’s some other worldly bad luck and hopefully Green is back in the ring sooner rather that later. I can’t imagine how discouraging it must be to have that happen twice in two debuts, with it being even worse since Green was stuck sitting on the sidelines for months after her initial call up. You don’t see this kind of thing happen and no one deserves it.
What do you think of Green? What will she do when she gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
