Charlotte SLAMS Dave Meltzer Over Comments About Her Looks

This didn’t end well. The WWE Women’s Revolution has changed the way wrestling works in a big way and that is a good thing. Women in wrestling spent so much time as little more than eye candy that it is almost impossible to believe how far they have come. It is certainly a great thing for wrestling, but there are still struggles at times. One top WWE star was not having it this week.

During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Charlotte is taking time off from the company to have some dental work done. Meltzer went on to say that Charlotte has been getting a complete makeover, which he attributed to what he perceived as Charlotte being self-conscious, saying that it is something women in wrestling go through.

Charlotte responded to the statement, saying that Meltzer should have learned his lesson when he commented about women’s bodies the last time. She said that she was stopping herself before saying “Dave, Go To Hell.” Charlotte said that Meltzer had her number and could have asked her about this but instead told his listeners something untrue. She went on to ask if Meltzer had any shame, decency or professionalism left.

You have my phone number. It would take you 30 seconds to ask as opposed to giving straight crap to your listeners. Grow up.

Opinion: Yeah this was just about destined to go badly as soon as Meltzer began speaking. This isn’t about being sensitive or being upset, because trying to say how Charlotte feels is not the best idea. Charlotte mentioning that Meltzer had her phone number made it even worse, as he could have found out exactly what she was thinking and/or doing but did not do so for some reason. Meltzer has had issues in a situation like this before and it is not something that is making him look great.
