She said what? We are officially done with WrestleMania 39 and that means several things are going in very directions. This includes the fallout from titles changing hands at the show, as the championships, as well as the new and former champions, will be trying something new. One such title change has inspired something of a surprising response from a former champion.

Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte at WrestleMania 39 Night One to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. The match was built around the idea of Charlotte believing she could still defeat Ripley while Ripley wanted to prove that she was a superstar. Following the loss, Charlotte took to Twitter to thank the fans and say that she was proud of Ripley, as she knew the title was in good hands.
Thank you @wwe universe! I may have lost tonight, but I know in my heart the championship is in good hands. ?? Proud of you @RheaRipley_WWE ??

It was a heck of a match. Check out the match, plus how we got there:
Opinion: That isn’t exactly what I would have expected from Charlotte but she certain is being humble and respectful. Charlotte is still by far the most decorated woman in WWE history and losing the title one more time is not going to destroy her career. Hopefully WWE can find something else for her to do away from Ripley, as Ripley seems ready to be the next breakout star in the women’s division, if not WWE as a whole.
What do you think of the statement? What is next for Charlotte in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
