They’re a contender. We are in a time of change for WWE, as the company is going through one adjustment after another. Some of these have been minor, but there are some that have completely changed the company. In addition, there are some that have not happened yet, but now we might have a better picture of what could happen when they do change.

According to the New York Post, WWE’s exclusive negotiating rights period with FOX and NBCU has expired, meaning any platform can now negotiate with WWE over broadcasting rights. While FOX and NBCU are the favorites to retain the rights, Disney has also emerged as a contender, with the programming being planned for their FX network. Amazon Prime has also shown interest, along with Apple and Warner Brothers Discovery, though the latter two are viewed as dark horses. WWE’s current TV deals expire in October 2024 and there is no word on when new deals will be announced.

Opinion: This is indeed one of the most important things that you will see in wrestling as WWE’s television going to various places can be a game changer. If WWE somehow gets even more money, it further cements their status as the biggest promotion anywhere. While it is hard to fathom that they could get an even better deal, it seems to be a possibility, which shows just how much further they have come in the last few years.
