You had to get this one on there. In September, WWE will be presenting its annual Clash Of Champions pay per view, which will be featured around all of the titles the company has to offer. That is quite a high number, as the company has gone a little bit title crazy. There will be a lot of titles on the line, but not very many of them have been set. One more has now been taken care of.
As announced on WWE.com, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston will defend his title against Randy Orton at Clash Of Champions. The match has been teased for a few weeks now, as Kingston vs. Orton went to a double countout at Summerslam. Since then, the two have continued their feud, with the New Day and the Revival getting involved. Clash Of Champions takes place on September 15.
The promos have been the best part. Check out Orton’s thoughts on Kingston:
Opinion: This isn’t a surprise as the match was all but made over the last few weeks, but it is nice to have the match set up in advance of this week’s SmackDown Live. There is no reason to waste television time on an obvious plot development so get it done in advance. The match could be good, though it isn’t like they have much to top after a below average performance at Summerslam.
