The card keeps growing. We are about a month away from WrestleMania 36 and that means things are starting to come together in a hurry. It’s the biggest show of the year and that means we are going to need a lot of matches set up in a hurry. Some of the matches have already been made but there are several that still need to be set. One of those was taken care of this weekend.

The Royal Rumble is one of the best ways to set up a major match at WrestleMania and in recent years that has become double as likely. Since the addition of a women’s Royal Rumble, there are now two WrestleMania matches set up every year at the Royal Rumble. That was the case again this year, but women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte had not made up her mind just yet. That is no longer the case.

Sunday night at Takeover: Portland, Charlotte attacked NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and accepted Ripley’s challenge for a title match at WrestleMania 36. Ripley had said that Charlotte had won every Women’s Title multiple times except the NXT Women’s Title and challenged Charlotte to face her. Charlotte’s attack came after Ripley had successfully defended her title against Bianca Belair, who Charlotte attacked as well.

The answer is yes. Check out Charlotte coming to Full Sail to address Ripley earlier this month:

Opinion: This is the best way they can go if Charlotte just has to be in another title match at WrestleMania. NXT has become one of the bigger parts of WWE and that makes things all the more interesting. If you want to make NXT seem important, you have to put them on the big stage with big names making the titles seem important. That is what we got here and we might even get a good match.
