It’s back. There are certain matches that take place at the right time of the year and it can be a big deal for a wrestler to be included. You know when the builds are going to begin and more often than not you can see the groundwork being laid for the stories. That appears to be the case again this year as WWE has officially announced the return of one of its biggest shows.

Over the weekend at WWE Crown Jewel, WWE announced the return of the WarGames match at this month’s Survivor Series event. This will be the second straight year with the match, as last year’s included both a men’s and women’s edition. There were no details announced for this year’s edition and it is not clear if there will be one match or two this time.

Opinion: I know it’s been around for a long time now but WarGames in WWE still feels like something special. It might not be the same thing as the original but WWE’s version is hardly terrible. It would seem that we are coming up on the Raw friends vs. Judgment Day and that should make for a heck of a showdown. At the very least, WWE getting to announce the match is cool, even without William Regal’s voice included.
