WWE had previously announced that John Cena will be returning to SmackDown this coming week. Now the company has announced that Cena will be present for every SmackDown from September 15-October 27. It is not clear if this will include appearances at Payback on September 2 and Fastlane on October 7. There is no word on what Cena will be doing on the shows or if he will be wrestling. Cena is booked to team with Seth Rollins to face Imperium at Superstar Spectacle on September 8.

Opinion: I would wonder how much this has to do with the current Hollywood strikes, but either way, it is great to have Cena back for a little while. Cena is still one of the biggest stars in the world and having him around is going to be a boost for WWE. There is something to be said about someone who has long since moved on from being a full time star coming back for a few months, as it could do a lot of good for some people involved.
