I get how it might scare some people off. Celebrities have been a part of wrestling for several decades and that is not going to change anytime soon. It makes a lot of sense from both ends: the wrestling company gets to look important because someone famous is there and the celebrity gets to be on camera because they are appearing at a television show. As it turns out though, that isn’t always going to be a permanent situation.

While WWE dominates the professional wrestling landscape, it is not the only game in the world. There are all kinds of other wrestling promotions out there and some of them are not your traditional companies. That can make things a little bit different depending on where you go, both for the regular fan and for the celebrity as well. It turns out that one might have been pushed a bit too far at a certain show.

WWE Superstar Oney Lorcan told a story on Twitter about Hollywood actress Sofia Vergara appearing at a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla show, which took place in 2015. During the show, Super Dragon gave Lorcan a double stomp through a chair covered in thumb tacks, which Lorcan claims is the reason that Vergara never attended another show. Lorcan, tweeting in his usual all caps and one sentence per Tweet style, said that he also met an actor from the film Hot Tub Time Machine and had a beer with him after the show.

Vergara certainly did appear at the show. Check out a report on her taking in the event, plus a quick look at Lorcan:

Opinion: Anytime you get to “stomping a head through a chair covered in thumbtacks”, it’s not much of a surprise when some fans aren’t into it. That’s some hardcore stuff you won’t be seeing on the mostly family friendly WWE and a lot of people aren’t going to put up with something like this. Lorcan can still tell an awesome story though and that was on full display here.
