Call It A Tease? Missing AEW Star Says He Will Be Back And Maybe Soon

It could be. Last week, AEW debuted its third weekly wrestling series with Collision on Saturday night. This gives the company five hours of television a week, meaning more wrestlers are able to appear on television than before. As a result, some wrestlers are possibly coming back after being gone for a bit, with one star heavily hinting that he will be back soon.

AEW’s Shawn Spears appeared on Vibe 105.5 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and said that he is not gone for the company, but rather on hiatus. Spears went on to say that you will see him again, perhaps even on AEW’s upcoming Canadian tour. He listed the dates and locations for the upcoming AEW events but did not flat out say that he would be appearing any any of them. Spears’ most recent AEW match took place on April 26.

Opinion: This is good to hear, as Spears is someone who can always be counted on as a solid hand in the ring. If nothing else it would be nice to have him back as part of the Canadian tour, as it would give the shows a bit of local flavor. I could go for having Spears around more often, though at the moment it seems like he is more of a special attraction. It’s better than nothing, and it might be happening again soon.
