There’s always room for more. Wrestling is one of the most fascinating forms of entertainment in the world, especially when you factor in all of the storytelling aspects. There are so many characters and so many stories, but what about the people behind those stories? Wrestlers themselves may be more interesting than the matches they have and more people are starting to realize that.

According to Ringsidenews.com, HBO and A&E are teaming up to produce a new series of documentaries looking at various wrestling personalities. The first five films will focus on Steve Austin, Randy Savage, Roddy Piper, Shawn Michaels and Booker T. These films will debut in the spring of 2020 and there is no word on how many more will be made. This announcement comes after Viceland announced a new documentary series starting next week.

HBO knows its wrestling documentaries. Check out the trailer for their Andre the Giant film:

Opinion: Cool. There is something so fascinating about these stories and thankfully these networks seem like good candidates to put out a quality product. The more recent documentaries have all worked quite well and if we get more of the same level, I’m going to be rather pleased with the result. I could go for more of these, and the fact that two channels are airing them is very promising.
