The first of many. Earlier this week, the wrestling world got a heck of a shakeup with the announcement of All Elite Wrestling. The new promotion offers a legitimately new look at wrestling and could make some serious waves if things go well. One thing you need though is talent, and aside from the top names, it wasn’t clear who was going to fill out the roster. Now though, we have a first name announced from outside the usual suspects.

According to F4Wonline.com, Britt Baker is the latest name to sign with the new promotion. Baker, 27 years old, has wrestled in a variety of promotions in the last year, including appearances with Ring of Honor and a spot in a four way match at All In. While never under contract with the company, she did appear on a recent episode of NXT. She is also the real life girlfriend of Adam Cole.

In case you’re not familiar with her. Check out Baker in action:

Opinion: I know she might not be the biggest name in the world, but she’s certainly a step in the right direction. Baker is talented but unknown, which is the kind of talent that the promotion needs. It should be interesting to see who follows her to the promotion, as there is likely to be a big mixture of top names and fresh talent, which could make quite the combination in the near future.

What do you think of Baker? Who else do you want to see signed for the promotion? Let us know in the comments below.
