Hang it up. There are all kinds of titles under the WWE umbrella and holding one of them can make all the difference in the world. A title reign can change the way a wrestler’s career goes and losing a title can mark quite the fork in the road. There are different ways to go after the loss, but occasionally someone loses a title without losing a match, which is what has happened again.

The main event of last week’s NXT saw Roxanne Perez defeat Meiko Satomura to retain the NXT Women’s Title. Following the match, Perez collapsed and was taken away from the arena in an ambulance. WWE executive Shawn Michaels has announced that as a result of the incident, there will be a series of qualifying matches tonight, with the winners advancing to a ladder match to crown a new champion at Stand & Deliver on April 1. The title has not been officially vacated.
As of Friday Morning Roxanne Perez was discharged from the hospital. However after numerous tests Roxanne’s health is still in question. With Stand and Deliver in less than three weeks I have the obligation to announce we possibly have to crown a New NXT Women’s Champion.

There are some talented stars available. Check out some of the potential next champions:
Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with Perez but this is an interesting way to go with everything. Perez hasn’t even held the title all that long and now she has lost it for whatever reason. It wouldn’t surprise me to see her promoted to the main roster in the near future and this might be a way to get the title off of her without a loss. NXT did the same thing with Solo Sikoa and the North American Title so maybe they are doing it again here.
