And there it is. Over the last week, it has become clear that NXT will be moving over to the USA Network at some point. Thanks to AEW debuting on TNT for two hours every week on October 2, WWE was going to have to do something to fight back. The move sounds interesting for the company but not so much for NXT fans. There was no announcement on this week’s Monday Night Raw but things were updated the next morning.

On Tuesday morning, WWE sent out an email announcing that NXT will be moving to the USA Network, starting on September 18. The show will be expanding to two hours and airing live. The shows will then air again on the WWE Network on Thursday nights at 8pm. Takeovers will continue to air live on WWE Network as usual. As announced on WWE.com, the show will still take place at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

You can see some great stuff on there. Check out an instant classic from earlier this year on NXT:

Opinion: You knew this was coming and that doesn’t make things much better. I’m scared of what this is going to mean for NXT as you can tell that things are going to change. The best part about NXT was how things didn’t feel like the main roster shows, but now it’s going to be more along the lines of those shows. At least it’s still in Full Sail, which could help things a bit. Still though, I’m not exactly thrilled with the possibilities.
