The question immediately becomes just how severe the injury is going to be as someone would be out of action for a very long time. That might be the case again with one of the most important wrestlers in all of WWE today.

This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffered a knee injury during his successful title defense against Jinder Mahal. According to Fightful Select, Rollins suffered a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus during the match. There is no word on how long Rollins will be out of action and what this means for the future of the championship. Rollins did not have an opponent scheduled for next Saturday’s Royal Rumble.

Opinion: Well there’s the hammer dropping. Rollins was clearly injured and now we are waiting to see what it means for the title. Rollins could get away without defending the title at the Royal Rumble, but now the question is how long he is going to be out of action. Things should be very interesting in the coming weeks, as we could be looking at a new champion out of necessity.
