Something had to stop her. Back in 2018, Becky Lynch had her nose broken by an errant Nia Jax right hand. She went on to pose atop the arena in a now iconic shot, sending her on a path towards the main event of WrestleMania 35 and both Women’s Titles. Lynch would become the biggest female star in history and she is still firmly in that spot over a year later. However, something might be slowing that down.
After over a year as Raw Women’s Champion, Lynch is basically out of challengers. She has beaten almost everyone available to her and there is no one left for her to face. It wasn’t clear how long she would hold the title, but it was clear that someone was going to have to do something special to get the title off of her. As it turns out, that was something a lot more important than a match.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Lynch vacated the Raw Women’s Title after announcing that she is pregnant. As a result, Lynch handed the title to Asuka, who won the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on Sunday night. This ends Lynch’s reign at 399 days, the most in Monday Night Raw history and the longest Women’s Title reign since Trish Stratus’ 447 day reign from 2005-2006.
It’s been a long road. Check out some of Lynch’s rise to the top:

Opinion: Just in case Lynch wasn’t a big enough deal already, now she gets to drop the title without ever losing it. Lynch is someone who is going to be able to come back to the top of the division as soon as she is able to and WWE is going to welcome her back with open arms. I would say it’s a shame, but someone having a baby isn’t a bad thing. Good for Lynch and I’m sure the fans will be happy to have her back when she’s ready.
