Go west young and old wrestlers. We are less than sixty days away from WrestleMania 36 and that means things are about to pick up in a hurry. With so many things left to cover, you can see how fast WWE is going to start setting things up to get the show ready. At the same time, we are about 420 days away from WrestleMania 37 and that means it is time to start preparations for that show as well.
One of the most interesting days of the year is the day we get to find out where next year’s WrestleMania is going to be. It lets you start making plans about possibly going to the show and wondering what WWE is going to have planned for the big event. Several cities bid on the show and the winner will receive a lot of prestige plus a good deal of money from the show, making it quite the get. Now we know who is getting it next.
On Monday, WWE announced that WrestleMania 37 will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California (just outside of Los Angeles) on March 28, 2021. This is the first time that the show has taken place in California since WrestleMania 31 in 2015 and in the Los Angeles area since WrestleMania 21 in 2005. The stadium is currently under construction and is expected to be able to hold over 100,000 people for WrestleMania. All television shows will take place at the Staples Center.
It feels special. Check out the big announcement video:
Opinion: This is something that a lot of people expected and there is nothing wrong with that. WrestleMania has not been in California for a long time now and it makes sense to send the show out west for a change. We could be in for a big show as there are a lot of famous WrestleMania moments in California. The show is still a long way off, but now we can start the countdown again. That’s a nice feeling and it only comes with WrestleMania.
